A year of support for businesses.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the associated economic crisis have kept the world in suspense for more than a year. In recent months, the Austrian federal government has adopted a large number of aid measures for companies, not all of which were self-explanatory and many laws – as before – require precise explanations by a tax advisor. TPA tax consultancy guides through Covid measures and supports businesses in Austria in Corona crises.
Covid-19 Task Force by TPA
Since the outbreak of the Corona crisis, the tax consultancy firm TPA has been engaged in numerous activities to provide the best possible support to clients as well as to companies affected by the crisis in general.
TPA Austria launched an internal Covid-19 Task Force in March 2020 with the aim of explaining the federal government’s tax measures in simple terms. In this difficult situation, this was a concrete and efficient support for many companies. The TPA Covid-19 Task Force ensured that over 20 webcasts on the new laws and regulations were broadcasted free of charge and without technical access barriers, thus providing a total of over 4,500 viewers with relevant information. In addition, a total of 55 newsletters with 74 articles on the federal government’s Covid measures were sent out in the past 12 months.

Navigation through the bureaucratic jungle of available COVID-19 funding was provided by the Online Tool ‚TPA Quick Guide‘. This service was launched by TPA in a very short time together with the German legal tech startup “Taxy.io”. Around 3,500 entrepreneurs used this free “TPA Quick Guide” – they simply checked which subsidies and grants were suitable for their own company without registering.
Quick & Simple access to information
Helmut Beer, partner and member of the TPA Covid-19 Task Force explains, “We have dealt with countless enquiries over the past year and guided businesses through these difficult times in the best possible way. It is a particular concern of ours to make a quick and uncomplicated contribution to overcoming the crisis, especially in difficult times – and we will continue to do so.” The tax consultant continues: “As a tax consulting firm, we know how complex and rapidly changing the individual framework conditions are. That’s why it was our goal from the beginning to make the information on the financial support measures of the federal government as quick and simple as possible for all businesses.”
The tax firm TPA will continue to ensure that Austrian businesses have access to relevant and up-to-date information on Covid-19 measures, either in form of webcasts or newsletters.
